Biography
Max "Blessed" Holloway, from Waianae, Hawaii, is one of the greatest featherweights in MMA history, beloved for his relentless pace, iron chin, and record-setting striking volume. He debuted in the UFC at just 20 in 2012, and after a 2013 decision loss to Conor McGregor as a 21-year-old prospect, reeled off a 13-fight win streak, claiming the interim featherweight title in 2016 and dethroning the legendary Jose Aldo twice in 2017 to become undisputed champion. He defended against Brian Ortega and Frankie Edgar, authored an epic trilogy with Alexander Volkanovski, and holds the UFC record for most significant strikes landed. At UFC 300 in 2024 he knocked out Justin Gaethje with one second remaining — an all-time-great finish — to claim the BMF title, which he defended against Dustin Poirier before passing it to Charles Oliveira by decision in March 2026. On July 11, 2026, he moves up to welterweight to headline UFC 329, seeking to rewrite history in a McGregor rematch 13 years in the making.
