Shinjuku FACE Closes 30 September 2026: The Final Nine Shows

The Humax Pavilion in Kabukicho, Tokyo; Shinjuku FACE occupies its 7th floor

Shinjuku FACE closes on Wednesday 30 September 2026. The reason is simply that the building lease ran out — announced by the operator, Humax Entertainment Co., Ltd., in an official release on 17 July 2026. The hall opened in 2005, so it closes after 21 years. Sitting on the 7th floor of the Humax Pavilion in Kabukicho, it has hosted kickboxing, MMA and pro-wrestling cards almost weekly, and for Japanese fight fans it sat alongside Korakuen Hall as a venue whose name alone told you the scale of the show.

Everything below was checked against official sources on 2026-09-22. Nothing here is inferred.

What the fight world loses

At 511 for combat sports, Shinjuku FACE was the size that makes a show work when an arena would not: a promotion's regular series, a prospect's first main event, an eliminator before a title shot. For Japanese kickboxing promotions it was effectively home.

Japan Kickboxing Association's KICK Insist 28 on 20 September 2026 was that association's final card at the venue (Gong Kakutogi). The co-main paired Japan Kickboxing featherweight champion Yusei with LEGION KICK super-lightweight champion Perey Sunrise Gym; the main was a vacant welterweight title bout between Naoki Hosomi and Masaya, the belt having been vacated by the former champion's retirement.

⚠️ As of 2026-09-22 the association's official results page has no entry for KICK Insist 28 — its most recent listing is KICK Insist 27 on 6 July 2026. We will update this page when results are published. Our write-up of the previous card is here: KICK Insist 27.
