Biography
Tariq "Cookie" Osaro is a Nigerian-Dutch heavyweight kickboxer born in Zwolle, Netherlands. Standing around 6 ft 6 in, he transitioned from football to combat sports and turned professional in 2018, joining Glory in 2022 and quickly building a reputation as a knockout threat.
His breakout came in 2023, when he won the Glory Heavyweight Tournament with wins over Jahfarr Wilnis and Murat Aygun, then captured the Glory Interim Heavyweight title with a knockout of the heavily favored Antonio Plazibat at Glory Collision 5 in June 2023.
That earned him a unification bout with Rico Verhoeven at Glory Collision 6 in November 2023, which Osaro lost by unanimous decision. He fell short again in the 2024 Heavyweight Grand Prix but remains one of the division's most dangerous strikers, with a record of 30-5-2.
