Report
On a stage unlike anything in the sport's history — the South Lawn of the White House — Justin Gaethje produced the upset of the year. Challenging undefeated lightweight champion Ilia Topuria, Gaethje weathered early exchanges and turned the fight with his volume and pressure.
In the fourth round, a flush Gaethje right sent Topuria backward and the bout was waved off, handing "El Matador" the first defeat of his professional career and the lightweight title to Gaethje. The stacked card also saw Ciryl Gane and Sean O'Malley score statement stoppages.
