Biography
Artur Beterbiev is one of the most feared punchers of his era — a Russian-Canadian light heavyweight who began his professional career with an almost unheard-of run of 20 wins, all by knockout. A two-time world amateur champion and Olympian, he turned pro late and made up for lost time with relentless, come-forward pressure and crushing two-handed power.
He unified the WBC, IBF and WBO titles before facing fellow undefeated champion Dmitry Bivol in October 2024, winning a tight majority decision to become undisputed light heavyweight champion. In the immediate February 2025 rematch in Riyadh, Bivol reversed the result by majority decision, ending Beterbiev's perfect record and his undisputed reign.
Now 21-1 (20 KOs), Beterbiev remains a top light heavyweight and a constant threat to end any fight with a single shot.
