Benoit Saint Denis “God of War”

Few fighters embody a nickname like Benoit "God of War" Saint Denis. Before turning professional in 2019, the Frenchman spent five years in the 1st Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment, an elite French special forces unit, and he carried that soldier's relentlessness into the cage. After taking his 2021 UFC debut on short notice, he tore through the lightweight division with five consecutive finishes, capped by a highlight-reel knockout of Matt Frevola at Madison Square Garden. Back-to-back stoppage losses to Dustin Poirier and Renato Moicano in 2024 became the forge for his best run yet: he rebuilt into a sharper, more patient finisher and has won four straight — submitting Kyle Prepolec and the much-hyped Mauricio Ruffy, knocking out Beneil Dariush in just 16 seconds at UFC 322, and stopping Dan Hooker at UFC 325 in Sydney.
