RENA (real name Rena Kubota) is a Japanese fighter who came up through shoot boxing and now competes mainly in MMA under the RIZIN banner. She was born on 29 June 1991 in Osaka City, is 35 years old, and fights out of Caesar Gym (official SHOOTBOXING fighter page). On 10 September 2026 she meets Natasha Kuziutina in bout two of Super RIZIN.5 at Kyocera Dome Osaka.

She turned professional in stand-up in 2007. In shoot boxing she won the Girls S-cup tournament in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2014, took the inaugural RISE QUEEN title on 23 November 2011 with a five-round decision over Erika Kamimura, and became the inaugural SB World Women's Flyweight Champion on 21 August 2015 (official SHOOTBOXING record table).
Her MMA debut came at RIZIN on 31 December 2015. She was runner-up in the 2017 RIZIN Women's Super Atomweight Tournament and beat Miyuu Yamamoto twice, on 25 September 2016 and at RIZIN.32 on 20 November 2021. Her most recent win was a second-round TKO (4:18) of Kate Lotus at Super RIZIN.3 on 28 July 2024. Her most recent fight was on 31 December 2025, when she challenged Seika Izawa for the RIZIN women's super atomweight title and lost by guillotine choke at 1:58 of round two.

According to the official SHOOTBOXING report she is a bronze medallist in the women's 52 kg judo event at the 2016 Rio Olympics and a former interim LFA women's strawweight champion, and in her RIZIN debut this May she submitted Ayaka Hamasaki with a first-round armbar. The bout is contested under RIZIN MMA rules over three five-minute rounds at a 49.0 kg contract weight.
It is not a title fight. After Izawa vacated the women's super atomweight belt, RIZIN announced four bouts spread across its July, August and September cards as the first round of an "invisible tournament", with the title fight itself set for New Year's Eve (RIZIN official, press conference of 15 June 2026).
