Mikio Ueda (born 1 May 1995, age 31) is a heavyweight and former Kyokushin karate world champion with an MMA record of 5-3 as of 11 August 2026, before RIZIN.54 — all five of his wins by KO/TKO. Born in Ota, Tokyo, he fights out of BRAVE. Tonight he faces King Edokpolo in a semifinal of the 2026 Japan Heavyweight Grand Prix.
Fighting style

Career
Ueda began Kyokushin karate at age five and went on to win the 30th All Japan Weight Category Championship at light heavyweight in 2013, the 50th All Japan Championship in 2018 and the 12th World Championship in 2019. He made his MMA debut at RIZIN.35 in April 2022, losing by KO to Tsuyoshi Kosaka. Since then he has fought at RIZIN.43, RIZIN.45, RIZIN.47, RIZIN.49, Otoko Matsuri 2025 and Super RIZIN.4 (one of his five wins came in GRACHAN). He stopped Tsuyoshi Sudario in the second round at RIZIN.45 on New Year's Eve 2023 and finished Shoma Shibisai in the first round in the RIZIN heavyweight tournament at Otoko Matsuri 2025 on 4 May 2025. Most recently he was stopped in the second round by Alexander Soldatkin at Super RIZIN.4 on 27 July 2025.
