Biography
Naoya "The Monster" Inoue is widely regarded as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world. Turning pro in 2012, he won a world title in only his sixth fight and went on to become a four-division world champion across light flyweight, super flyweight, bantamweight and super bantamweight.
In December 2022 he became undisputed bantamweight champion, then moved up and made history again: he stopped Stephen Fulton (TKO 8, July 2023) and Marlon Tapales (KO 10, December 2023) to become the first-ever undisputed super bantamweight champion of the four-belt era.
Inoue blends devastating two-handed power with surgical body punching, footwork and counterpunching. He has never tasted defeat. On May 2, 2026, in front of roughly 55,000 fans at the Tokyo Dome, he outpointed unbeaten countryman Junto Nakatani by unanimous decision to move to 33-0 (27 KOs) and retain all four super bantamweight belts.
