Biography
Oleksandr Usyk is the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world and one of the greatest technicians of his era. A London 2012 Olympic gold medalist who turned pro in 2013, he first became undisputed cruiserweight champion in 2018 by winning the World Boxing Super Series.
Moving up to heavyweight, he beat Anthony Joshua twice (2021 and 2022) to claim the WBA, IBF and WBO titles. He then made history by defeating Tyson Fury in May 2024 to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era, and beat Fury again in their December 2024 rematch.
Usyk is a southpaw built on footwork, ring IQ and relentless late-fight volume — he typically starts measured and breaks opponents down over the championship rounds. He twice defeated Daniel Dubois, including a fifth-round knockout in July 2025 to reunify the division.
As of June 2026 he remains undefeated at 25-0 (16 KOs) and the reigning undisputed heavyweight king.
