Biography
Born in 2000 and ranked among the UFC flyweight elite, Taira is widely seen as Japan's brightest hope to become the country's first male UFC champion. He came up short in a title bid against Joshua Van at UFC 328 in May 2026 but, still in his mid-20s, remains a top contender.
