Biography
Brian "The Assassin" Norman Jr. is an athletic, hard-hitting American welterweight with one of the best finishing rates in the division. The son of a trainer, he combines speed, timing and genuine one-shot power.
Norman won the WBO welterweight title in August 2024 and made a name internationally with a brutal fifth-round knockout of Japan's Jin Sasaki in Tokyo in June 2025, after an earlier stoppage of Derrieck Cuevas. That run made him one of boxing's most exciting young titleholders.
His reign ended against the elite skills of Devin Haney in Riyadh in November 2025, where he was dropped in the second round and outpointed over twelve. He returned to winning ways with a second-round TKO of Josh Wagner in May 2026.
As of June 2026 Norman is a former champion at 28-1 (22 KOs), still firmly in the welterweight title picture.
