Biography
David "The Mexican Monster" Benavidez is an undefeated, three-division world champion known for a punishing, high-output pressure style. A pro since 2013, he twice held a super middleweight world title — becoming the youngest super middleweight champion in history — before spending years as the division's avoided man.
Unable to land a fight with Canelo Alvarez, he moved up to light heavyweight, where he beat David Morrell and stopped Anthony Yarde (TKO 7, November 2025) to claim WBC honors. He then jumped to cruiserweight and knocked out Gilberto Ramirez in the sixth round in May 2026 — making him the first man ever to win world titles at 168, 175 and 200 pounds.
Benavidez wins with volume, conditioning and a relentless body attack that drowns opponents over the championship rounds.
As of June 2026 he is 32-0 (26 KOs), holding cruiserweight and light heavyweight belts simultaneously.
