Biography
Shakur Stevenson is a defensive maestro and a four-division world champion regarded as one of the most technically gifted boxers of his generation. A 2016 Olympic silver medalist who turned pro in 2017, the Newark southpaw blends an elite jab, footwork and shoulder-roll defense that frustrates aggressive opponents.
He won titles at featherweight and super featherweight before becoming a unified super featherweight champion, then moved to lightweight and captured the WBC belt, defending it against Josh Padley (TKO 9) and William Zepeda (UD 12) in 2025.
In January 2026 he moved up again and outboxed Teofimo Lopez over twelve rounds at Madison Square Garden to win the WBO and Ring super lightweight titles — making him a four-division world champion. He vacated the lightweight belt shortly after.
As of June 2026 he is 25-0 (11 KOs) and the WBO super lightweight champion.
