Biography
Takuma Inoue is the WBC bantamweight world champion and the younger brother of pound-for-pound king Naoya Inoue. A pro since 2013, he is a cerebral, technical boxer who relies on a sharp jab, footwork and ring generalship rather than one-punch power.
After falling short in an early WBC title bid against Nordine Oubaali (2019) and later dropping a decision to Seiya Tsutsumi for the WBA title (2024), Takuma reached the top by winning the vacant WBC bantamweight crown over Tenshin Nasukawa in November 2025. He then made an emphatic first defense, dominating veteran Kazuto Ioka by wide unanimous decision on May 2, 2026 at the Tokyo Dome — on the same card as his brother's superfight.
That win moved him to 22-2 (5 KOs) and underscored his evolution into a complete, world-class operator.
