Biography
Tenshin Nasukawa is a generational combat-sports talent who retired from kickboxing a perfect 42-0 before turning to professional boxing in 2023. A southpaw with dazzling hand speed, footwork and counterpunching honed in karate and kickboxing, he transitioned to the sweet science with rare polish.
In boxing he has built an 8-1 record, winning the WBO Asia Pacific bantamweight title in 2024. His lone professional boxing loss came against Takuma Inoue, who outpointed him over 12 rounds for the vacant WBC bantamweight title in November 2025 — the first defeat of Nasukawa's entire combat-sports career. (His widely remembered 2018 bout with Floyd Mayweather was a non-scored exhibition, not a pro fight.)
He answered that setback emphatically, stopping former two-division champion Juan Francisco Estrada in April 2026 in a WBC bantamweight eliminator to position himself as the leading challenger.
As of June 2026 he is a top-ranked contender chasing a WBC world-title shot.
