Main event: Makhachev vs Machado Garry
Based on UFC's official fight report, this is how the five rounds went.
| Round | What happened |
|---|---|
| R1 | Makhachev controlled the round with his grappling |
| R2 | A right hand and a left high kick out of the clinch put Machado Garry down briefly |
| R3 | Machado Garry out-landed Makhachev, who looked to be tiring |
| R4 | Makhachev took Machado Garry down several times and stayed on him, though Machado Garry landed the better strikes |
| R5 | Makhachev took him down, took his back and held the position until the final horn |
The judges gave it to Makhachev 49-46, 49-46, 48-47. How those numbers are built (each round scored 10-9 or wider, then added up) is explained in our guide to MMA scoring.
According to UFC, the win took Makhachev to 17 straight UFC victories and an 18-1 record inside the Octagon, passing Anderson Silva's 16 for the longest winning streak in UFC history. UFC also says he is only the fifth fighter to win titles in two divisions and defend both, after Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, Henry Cejudo and Jon Jones.
Makhachev is a former UFC lightweight champion: he won that title in October 2022 and defended it four times. At UFC 322 on 15 November 2025 he beat Jack Della Maddalena by five-round decision to win the welterweight title (UFC athlete page). UFC 330 was his first defense of that belt. Our news story from the moment he became a two-division champion is Makhachev goes two-division; Machado Garry is next.
UFC also credited Machado Garry, saying that in defeat he showed he can compete with the very top of the pound-for-pound list.
| Record after the fight | Islam Makhachev | Ian Machado Garry |
|---|---|---|
| Pro record | 29-1 | 17-2 |
| UFC record | 18-1 | 10-2 |
| Wins by KO/TKO | 5 | 7 |
| Wins by submission | 13 | 1 |
Pro records and win methods are from the UFC athlete pages, and the pro records also match MMA Junkie's post-event facts. The UFC-only records come from UFC and MMA Junkie for Makhachev, and from MMA Junkie for Machado Garry (checked 24 September 2026).
Co-main event: Dern vs Robertson (women's strawweight title)
According to UFC's fight report, champion Dern dominated on the mat in the first and second rounds. Robertson had a little more success in the third, but Dern took her down again early in the fourth and controlled the round until the last 10 seconds, when Robertson finally got a takedown of her own. Robertson then worked from top position for the whole fifth round, although Dern was never in real trouble.
The judges scored it 49-46, 49-46, 48-47 for Dern. UFC says it was her fourth straight win and her first successful defense of the women's strawweight title. After the fight Dern is 17-5 and Robertson 17-9 (UFC athlete pages, MMA Junkie). The night Dern won the vacant title is recorded in UFC 321: Dern vs Jandiroba.
The rest of the card
- Jalin Turner: caught Kauê Fernandes after a missed spinning backfist, dropped him with a left hand and finished him with follow-up strikes at 0:39 of the first round. UFC says it was his second first-round finish in a row.
- Dustin Stoltzfus: grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and was fighting in his home state for the first time. He controlled the grappling from the first round and submitted Mansur Abdul-Malik at 4:25 of the second, for his fourth UFC win (UFC). The odds shown on UFC's event page had Abdul-Malik at -700 and Stoltzfus at +500.
- Esteban Ribovics: battered Edson Barboza from the opening round and stopped him at 1:32 of the second. After the fight Barboza laid his gloves in the center of the Octagon, closing a UFC career of more than 16 years (UFC).
- Neil Magny: was held down by Ramiz Brahimaj's grappling in the first round, then swept, got back to his feet and finished him with strikes in the second. According to UFC, it was Magny's 25th UFC win, tying Charles Oliveira for second place all time and three behind Jim Miller.
- Charles Johnson: submitted late replacement Eduardo Chapolin with a Scottish twister at 1:36 of the third round. Chapolin had been docked a point in the first round for an illegal knee (UFC).
- Donte Johnson: knocked out Eric McConico with a left hand at 1:38 of the first round. UFC says he stays unbeaten, with three straight UFC wins and nine in a row overall.
- Lucas Fernando: won his UFC debut, stopping Rafael Tobias with a knee to the body in the third round.
- Jeremiah Wells: the only Philadelphia fighter on the card. He lost the first two rounds to Myktybek Orolbai, then rocked him early in the third and finished him with a guillotine choke. The odds on UFC's event page had Wells at +675 and Orolbai at -1300. After the fight Wells said he would probably retire unless his next bout is against a top-15 opponent (UFC).
- Two decisions: Chidi Njokuani beat Joel Álvarez and Tresean Gore beat Vicente Luque, both by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28). UFC says the win ended a two-fight losing run for Njokuani.
